Review: Lancome Hypnose Drama

Hello Lovelies!
I have found my holy grail mascara! If you haven't tried Lancome's Hypnose Drama mascara, I highly suggest doing so.

Before receiving this mascara, I was so fed up with everything I was using. EVERYTHING FLAKED.  Even the mascaras I used a thousand times before started to! So with high hopes (the price tag on this baby made them even higher :P) I tried out Lancome's...and to say the least, fell in love! It doesn't flake on me at all, which I was very pleased with, and it gives me lots of volume without having to curl my lashes. I still do curl them though.

Here's some basic info on the mascara:
- Super black
-"S" shaped brush
- Available in waterproof (mine was not)
-Retails for $27.00
- 0.22 oz
- Available at Sephora, Lancome counters or online.

Again, I highly suggest trying out this mascara if you want great volume and no flaking! If the price is steering you away, try getting your hands on a sample size first, but I really believe that it's worth the money.

Lancome Color Design Palette: Taupe Craze

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate how beautiful this palette is?! Lancome knows how to do it right! I just received this palette in the mail an hour or so ago and had to blog about it right away!

The palette I have is in Taupe Craze 100. Lancome has 18 different palettes (that I know of, maybe there's more?) in the Color Design range. I have never owned anything from Lancome before so when I came home to find this in my mail box, you can imagine how excited I was. That being said, as far as first impressions go, these eye shadows get an A+!

The pigmentation is amazing and the shadows are so soft! I would have taken pictures of the swatches but I ran out of good natural lighting, we can save those for a later post. I haven't got the chance to apply these on my actual lids, so I can't judge staying power just yet. But, I've heard great things and am excited to actually put them on! You get one those plastic films over the shadows that tell you the best place to use them and in what order. They all seem spot on to me expect for the preferred highlight shade, which is the one with the Lancome rose on it. That is way too shimmery to be using on my brow bone! :P Some people may like that way though, I'm not judging! Anyway, along with the eye shadows you get two applicators (which personally I wont use), your average sponge applicator and another that's shaped more like a cone.

This palette retails for $49.00 and you can get them at Sephora.com or Lancome.com

Expect an eye look sometime soon using this palette, and possibly some other Lancome goodies I've got my hands on ;)

Disclaimer:
This palette was gifted to me for helping out with a survey for a very exciting new makeup line by Michelle Phan. I am in no way affiliated with Lancome or Michelle. All opinions are my own.

Tutorial: Plum Smokes

Hello Everyone!
Long time no blog! I've been super lazy this past month or so when came to working on my blog. I thought I would get back into the swing of things with a tutorial! Well...."tutorial". Since I don't have a decent quality camera to record with, this is just pictures of the finished look with step by step instructions on what I did. Hope you enjoy!

(Please excuse my brows, I've been growing them out)
-To being, as my base/primer I applied Maybelline Color Tattoo in 30 Pomegranate Punk all over the lid.

-On top of my base, I packed on Raisin Berry by Coastal Scents. I took this shade slightly through the crease as well.

-In my crease I have Busted from the UD Naked 2 palette, along with Blackout on the outer half of my crease. (also from Naked 2).

-I used all the shades mentioned previously to create an ombre effect on my lower lash line.

-As an inner corner highlight I applied NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk, topped with Salty Cosmetics Loose Luxury Mineral Eye Shadow in Glama-ZOID.

- My brow bone highlight is Foxy from UD Naked 2.

-Then apply eyeliner and mascara as you normally would.
